The Acting Regent of Aceh Besar, Muhammad Iswanto, accompanied by the Assistant for Economic Affairs of the Aceh Besar Secretariat and a number of heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) including the Head of BPS Aceh Besar District, Rusmadi Nisca, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) to the Lambaro Main Market on Tuesday, January 7, 2024. In this inspection, Muhammad Iswanto monitored a number of commodity prices that are the daily needs of the community.
A number of commodities are still in the normal category despite a slight increase. The price of cayenne pepper is starting to get a bit 'spicy', touching IDR 50,000 per kilo gram. The price of fresh red chili peppers ranges from IDR 30,000 to IDR 35,000 per kilogram. The price of tomatoes ranges from 8,000 to 10,000 rupiah per kilogram. The price of shallots is between IDR 40,000 and 45,000 per kilogram.
According to information from traders, a number of ingredients are supplied from outside the district. Onions are generally supplied from West Sumatra, red chilies are imported from Takengon and Blangkejeren and tomatoes from Takengon and North Sumatra.
Meanwhile, tuna fish is 35 thousand per kilogram, tuna is 30 thousand per kilogram, fresh beef is 140 thousand per kilogram.
This market price monitoring is one of the government's efforts to maintain price stability and availability of goods needed by the community so that inflation is controlled.
On the other hand, Iswanto was also concerned about a number of facilities at the Lambaro Main Market which seemed less organized such as chaotic parking locations. Pj is committed to filling the road with sand and stone (sirtu) so that access to the alleys in the market becomes easier to pass and not muddy when it rains.
